Position Overview

The Technical Sales – Coatings Technologies role is responsible for driving growth and supporting the commercialization of Navis TubeTex’s coating technology solutions. This position combines technical expertise with strategic sales skills to identify customer needs, provide innovative solutions, and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of hands-on experience in coatings, materials, or process engineering, paired with strong business development and client relationship skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct product and process demonstrations for prospective and existing clients.
  • Perform assessment and analysis of competitive technologies and market positioning.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and nurture new clients, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Represent Navis TubeTex at trade exhibitions, technical conferences, and industry events.
  • Monitor and identify industry trends, market opportunities, and emerging technologies.
  • Generate and qualify leads, ensuring consistent sales pipeline growth.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical sales support for products, services, and process applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support new business development efforts.
  • Drive product adoption through effective communication, technical knowledge, and solution selling.
  • Lead digital business development efforts, including oversight of the company website makeover and leveraging LinkedIn as a client engagement and sales tool.
  • Utilize analytical frameworks (SWOT, value chain, gap, and ROI analyses) to develop sales strategies and support decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or Textile Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of industry experience in coatings, textiles, or related process/materials technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in technical sales, product commercialization, and business development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of materials and process technologies within coatings applications.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools, website management, and business networking platforms (LinkedIn expertise required).
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven professional.
